Position Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of clients with a focus on the Thailand market.
- Ensure a uniform, high-quality and timely presentation of deliverables that meet the demanding needs of G3 Group’s clients, including in-person briefings, written products, presentations, conference calls and other formats. Draft, edit and public products as necessary.
- Guide the monitoring, analysis and reporting on key public policy, regulatory and legislative developments in Thailand (particularly in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector). Brief client executives on the corporate, business, policy and political implications of specific government regulations, policies and laws .
- Map and engage public and private-sector stakeholders, civil society, the media and other influencers. Develop narratives and talking points for clients in coordination with the relevant senior director and managing director.
- Build and nurture networks with clients and corporate executives, government officials, media and civil society experts. Represent G3 Group before those constituencies as needed.
- Track interaction with stakeholders in Salesforce, ensuring that contacts are updated, engagement is logged and follow-ups are moved through the various G3 Group offices.
- Work collaboratively with G3 Group teams based in Thailand and elsewhere in Asia, the Pacific, Europe and North America, on a range of projects and provide further support internally and externally to advance G3 Group’s objectives.
Job Requirements
The ideal applicant can effectively manage multiple work streams while meeting deadlines and should be highly self-motivated, well organized, detail-oriented and collegial. She or he should feel comfortable interacting with a range of interlocutors and should enjoy the various challenges of supporting large multinational corporations operating in the Asia-Pacific. The ability to interact effectively both inside the company and externally, in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive and efficient is crucial to this role.
Qualifications:
- A keen understanding of Thailand’s political and regulatory environment and how to navigate it on behalf of clients is required.
- 10+ years professional experience in the government affairs, public policy or the Thai healthcare industry is preferable.
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills in native-level English is required. Knowledge of one or more Asian-Pacific languages is a plus.
- Ability to engage confidently and thoughtfully with corporate government affairs representatives, Thai and foreign government officials, civil society and the media is required. Aptitude for public speaking and project presentations is beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and an ability to learn and adopt new technologies is required. Proficiency in Slack, Salesforce and Tallie is a plus.
- Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree, master’s degree is preferred.
- Must be currently based in Thailand.
